Carb Cycling is the continuous pattern of alternating High Days and Low Days.
On our High Days we eat food combinations with more carbohydrates like fruits, grains, root vegetables, breads, and pasta. These help maintain or build muscle, and they boost metabolism.
In addition to the higher carbohydrate meals, many High Days are also “Reward Days,” to ensure that we consume adequate calories to boost our metabolisms to the max. Once the metabolism is boosted, we alternate to a Low Day to maximize fat loss.
On our Low Days we eat fewer carbohydrates and consume combinations of protein, veggies, and fats instead. The drop in calories and carbohydrates stimulates the body to mobilize (break apart) and oxidize (burn) the blanket of energy covering your muscles - your body fat!
Viola! Carb Cycling in a nutshell. Just add a little exercise and stir…
